This Privacy Policy sets out how The EDit Group collects, stores, uses and discloses personal information. It also explains how individuals can seek to access and correct their personal information and make a privacy complaint.

The EDit Group is committed to protecting your privacy. The EDit Group is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which sets out a number of principles concerning The EDit Group’s handling of personal information.

Collection of your personal information

There are many aspects of The EDit Group’s website, located at URL https://edit.org.au/ (the Website), which can be viewed without providing any personal information to The EDit Group. However, for access to The EDit Group support, to fundraise or to provide a donation you are required to submit personally identifiable information, such as your name, computer type and information about how you are using the Website. Seeking support

The EDit Group collects information about those we support, such as their name, the effects of their service, and other relevant information for the purpose of providing assistance to wounded men, women and their families. This is also done in order to promote The EDit Group’s purpose of raising and administering funds to support transitioning Defence members.

Donations, volunteering and other support

If you make a donation, volunteer with The EDit Group, or are otherwise involved in supporting The EDit Group, we may collect personal information about you for the purpose of facilitating your support. For example, if you volunteer, The EDit Group may need to collect your name and contact details, for the purpose of managing your volunteering. The EDit Group may also use your contact details to provide you with information about the activities of The EDit Group, such as via The EDit Group’s newsletter.

Photographs and recordings

The EDit Group may, either by ourselves or via contracted third parties, take photographs and make audio and video recording during the course of events which The EDit Group organises or is associated with, for the purpose of promoting The EDit Group and raising and administering funds to support wounded soldiers.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, The EDit Group will need to collect personal information about you, such as your name, email address and postcode, which it will use to provide you with The EDit Group‘s newsletter. Contactors and employment applications

The EDit Group collects personal information, such as names, contact details, ABNs, and bank account details about its contractors for payment purposes.

The EDit Group collects personal information about job applicants, such as their name, address, contact details, current and past employment information, and educational qualifications. The EDit Group will also hold personal information about its current and former employees.
